Final Day On The Showground
The last day, but what a great one.
After the huge procession of Land Rovers through Cooma, all drivers were directed to park on the main showground oval, and when all the engines stopped, an air of relaxed festivity ensued.
The sun stayed out, the food sizzled, the liquid refreshments were consumed, and everyone enjoyed sightseeing and inspecting everyone else's Land Rovers.
Then as the sun went down it was time to get ready and enjoy the finale, the Land Rover 75th Gala Dinner, with Mark Oakes-Richards doing a mighty fine job as the MC (with a worn out voice), overseeing some great speeches, acknowledgements and applause with some terrific special guests, and... of course not forgetting some excellently prepared and served meals for what was a very large sitting, by that master of many talents Tony and his terrific crew.
Then, suitably warmed and filled, it was out of the hall and across to the campsite where a good night's sleep was (hopefully) had by all, and then up early the next morning for breakfast, pack, and head home... and to start preparing for the next Land Rover 80th Celebration in Cooma in 2028!
In no particular order....
